With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Mary Reeves on Friday, September 25th.

Graveside service will be October 2nd, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery

Visitation will be Thursday the 1st from 5 to 7 PM at Sewell Mortuary Chapel.

Mary Eleanor was born September 24, 1928 to the late Evelyn Addie Thompson in the Lone Oak Community of Meriwether County in Georgia.

She joined the St. Paul CME Church in Lone Oak Georgia at an early age. She attended and earned a diploma at the school in the Zion Hill Community. She was married to the late Joel Reeves, who preceded her in death and to this union four children were born. She transitioned from this life to be with the Lord on September 25, 2020.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories one daughter Mary Joyce and three sons: Freddie, Harold (Johnsie) and Kenneth Paul (Vernetta); sisters: Evelyn Anita Anderson (Thurman), Jacquelyn Henry and Gloria Porter and brother Lagree Rosser. She also leaves nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death her sister Charlie Mae Jackson in January 2020; brothers: Sonny and Arthur; and great granddaughter Reagan.
