Memorial Service
With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Mattie M Render on April 3rd, 2024.
A Time to Be Born: Ms. Mattie Mae Render was born August 10, 1947, in Meriwether County to Mary Lizza Ward and Joe Henry Render.
A Time to Learn: Mattie grew up in Luthersville, Georgia where she was educated in the Coweta County School System.
A Time to Serve: Mattie joined Clarks Chapel United Methodist Church where she served faithfully until her health began to decline. For many years, she served on the usher ministry. This ministry allowed her to fulfill her passion by meeting and greeting people. She worked for the Meriwether County School System as a Paraprofessional; she retired after 30 plus years of service in education. She was a true and loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves. Her most rewarding endeavor was raising her son/her heartbeat "Omar."
A Time to be at Peace: On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, Mattie made the transition to an eternal sleep at her residence with her son by her side. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Omar Jr.; siblings, Orlando Render, Julia Mae Taylor, Johnny Mae Clements, Georgia Mae Scott, Josie Mae Rosser, Eddie Bee Render, Eddie Lee Render, and Eddie Moss Render; and special friend Ella Phillips.
A Time to Mourn: Those she leaves to cherish her precious memories include, her loving and devoted son, Omar Rosser, Sr. and Valeria; grandchildren, Amber and Omara; siblings, Mae Francis Lovett and Sally Mae Strozier; special nieces, Barbara (James) Dobbs and Leona (Robert) Driver; special nephew, Carl (Carmen) Strozier; special friends, Linda Phillips, Lutricia Warner and Gwendolyn Brown; and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and other relatives and friends.
The memorial service will be held at Clarks Chapel UMC Luthersville Ga, on April 13th at 2:30 PM.
