Mr. Norman Williams passed away on August 11th, 2024.

Norman Williams was born April 5, 1940 to the late Obie and Sylvester Williams. To this union, eleven children were born and Norman was the eldest. Norman departed this earthly life August 11, 2024. Norman grew up around Freeman Hill and the Odessadale communities. He attended the Greenville and Odessadale school systems. Norman later furthered his education through the Adult Literacy and Learning Program in Lagrange, GA. Norman was employed by the city of Lagrange from May 7, 1959 to May 7, 1999. Norman then retired after these 40 years of serving in the city of Lagrange.

Norman always kept his faith in God first in his life as he joined the Branch Hebron Baptist Church on the 2nd Sunday of August 1955 under the leadership of Rev. Walker. Norman would in turn transition into eternal life on the 2nd Sunday of August 2024! He was a faithful member there until his health started to decline. Later in life, he moved his membership to the New Arbor Community Church.

Norman was married to the late Ela Elaine Williams aka "Kitty" and they were residents of the Greenville, GA community. During their marriage, Norman and Kitty shared many great memories in their life together before her untimely passing. Norman was best known around the Odessadale community for assisting some of the senior citizens by driving them to the supermarket, doctor's appointments, and to various merchants and shopping venues. He was loved by many and will be missed by his family and friends.

Norman's transition into eternal life was preceded by his wife, one son, parents, and siblings Annie Ruth Cousins, Gloria Ann Canty, Rufus Williams, Obie Williams Jr. and Robert Williams. He leaves to cherish his memory five sisters, Gladys Birts (Atlanta, GA), Josephine Billups (Atlanta, GA), Mildred Henderson (Greenville, GA), Dorothy Williams (Lithonia, GA), Christine Monero (Luthersville, GA), one aunt, Minnie B. Ford (Chicago, IL) and one uncle, Norman Middlebrooks (Chicago, IL), and a host of other relatives and friends

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 17th, 2024 at 11 AM at New Arbor Community Church in Warm Springs Georgia.
