Mrs. Opal Reeves was born April 19, 1928 to the late Lozzie and Tennie Stinson, Sr. On March 7, 2017, she departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest.

On December 29, 1947 she joined in holy matrimony to her late husband Mr. Wiley Reeves, Jr. From that union eight children were born. One child, Bernice (Samuel) Reese and one grandson, Barry Griffin preceded her in death. As well as her siblings Andrew, Anderson, Lozzie Jr., Walter, Albert Stinson and Mrs. Mary (Stinson) Johnson.

She joined the New Friendship Baptist Church and served there faithfully until her health failed.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Wylene (Willie) Reese, Eyvonne (Eddie) Boyd, John Wesley (Shasta) Reeves, Albert Reeves, Booker (Robin) Reeves, Marvin Reeves and Patricia (Willie) Tillier; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn (Stinson) Combs; two sister-in-laws, Pauline Moreland, Elizabeth Dukes; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
