Obituary

Oscar Hall was born on December 24, 1925 to the late Walter and Dianne Hall. He was called home to be with the Lord Monday, February 2, 2015. He was preceded by death by his wife, Millie Carrie Hall and two sons, Alfonso and Quinton Hall.

Oscar loved the Lord and sought him at an early age. While living in Woodland, Georgia he attended Friendship Baptist Church. He had a strong faith in God and believed in keeping the Sabbath, so during the mid '70's Oscar affiliated himself with churches in Atlanta that worshipped on the Sabbath.

His early education was in the Talbot County School System. After he moved to Atlanta he obtained his GED. Education was very important to Oscar and he never ceased an opportunity to excel in order to better his life. He had a strong love for repairing TVs and received certification for TV and radio repair. At the age of 65 after retiring from Dekalb County Government, he enrolled in Atlanta Area Tech for Auto Mechanics where he was deemed a certified mechanic.

A United States Navy veteran, Oscar faithfully served his country during World War II. While in the military he married Millie Carrie Knolton and this union produced nine children.

Oscar leaves to cherish his memories seven children; Deborah A. Favors (Larry), Walter S. Hall, Vivian Hall, Jacqueline J. Carter Watson (Victor), Knolton K. Hall )Sandra), Oscar O. Hall (Beverly), and Samuel Hall; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; one brother, Andrew B. (AB) Hall (Lillian); one sister, Elizabeth Hall; one sister-in-law, Juanita K. Trice; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
