Sewell Mortuary in Grantville, respectfully announces the passing of Otis Petty 11/26/2016.

Funeral service is 1:00 PM Friday 12/02/2016 at Bethel Heard Baptist Church in Franklin GA.

Mr. Otis Petty was born in Newnan, Georgia on January 26, 1942 to the late Mr. Alvin Petty and Nannie Pearl Petty Burks. He entered into eternal peace on November 26, 2016.

Otis found his passion at a young age in which he became a Master Brick Mason which he spent most of his life pursuing his dream.

Otis was preceded in death by his mother Nannie Pearl Petty-Burks; father, Alvin Petty; and brothers, Willie Alvin Petty, Jr. and Jimmy Lee Petty Sr.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife, Shirley Jean Petty; seven children, Annette (Freddy) Petty, Carrie (Mike) Petty, Carlton (Ellen) Petty, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Bernard (Kocoyo) Petty, Darrell Petty, Shelia Petty and Jimmy Petty; sister, Annie (Edward) Sumlin; brother, James Lee Petty; sister-in-law, Arelisha Petty. He was also survived by a host of grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews and friends. Also, two special friends, Damon Ware, Jr. and T.J. Cason.
