With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Patrick Hamilton on September 2nd, 2024.
Patrick S. Hamilton, affectionately known as Pat, passed away on September 2, 2024, at Piedmont Hospital Newnan, Georgia. Born in Hogansville, Georgia, Pat was a respected member of his community, known for his hardworking, lovable, and kind-hearted nature.
Throughout his life, Pat was deeply involved in construction, janitorial services, and various handyman roles, where he applied his skills to improve and care for the environments around him. His dedication to his work was paralleled only by his commitment to his family and friends.
Pat leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories his children, Dermus L. Strozier (Bobbie Ann), Patricia C. Hamiton, and Cristifer M. Worthans (Gramp). He was a proud grandfather to Mahogany L. Strozier, Dermus L. Strozier II, Heaven T. Mitchell , Shiyunna A. Alford , Thomas J. Ramsey Jr., JaKyrie Hand, Cristifer M. Worthans Jr., Samir M. Worthans, and Sariyah L. Jackson, and a great- granddaughter Skye E. Strozier. He is survived by his loving and caring partner, Tuwanda Thomas; his siblings Perry Hamilton Jr. (Delbra)., Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hamilton (Elaine) Mr. and Mrs. Bernice Render (Preston)
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda Hamilton; his father, Perry Hamilton Sr.; his mother, Ollie Mae Hamilton; and his siblings, Edward Hamilton, Willie James Sewell, Thelma Calhoun Foster, Barbara Ann Hamilton Worthans, Mac Arthur Hamilton, and Larry Hamilton.
Pat was held in high esteem by the Camp family, having played a significant role in their lives for many years. He reciprocated their love and respect as well. He cherished every moment with them. "HOPE SHINES BRIGHT"
Funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at Sewell Mortuary Chapel.
