Ricky Davidson Grier was born February 7, 1959; he was the tenth of twelve children born to the late William, Jr. and Christine Grier.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents William, Jr. and Christine; brothers Geroge Jerome "Butch", William Louis "Nick", William III "Bo", Greg, Donald and Michael; one sister Ann.

Ricky was educated in the Detroit Public School System, graduating from Cass Technical High School. He was a true music lover, especially of Marvin Gaye's songs always playing it throughout the house. He loved to laugh and have fun. He was a true family man. He leaves behind countless memories.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories one son, Donnell Parham of Detroit, MI; sisters, Vay "Sally" Parks (Antwine) of Luthersville, GA, Caroline "Punkin" Bason (Bubba) of Detroit, MI; brothers, Bob (Paulette), Charles (Charlene) both of Detroit, MI, Larry "Rabbit" (Marcia) of Luthersville, GA, Jerome Ballard of Honolula, HI; sister-in-law, Eula Jackson of Detroit, MI; uncles, Joe Louis (Mary) Grier, Gaston (Gloria) Grier both of Detroit, MI, Pete (Eddie Sue) Clayton of Atlanta, GA, Melvin Mitchell of Rocky Mountion, GA; aunts, Barbara Ann Miller and Ethel Mae Williams of Detroit, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
