With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Robert McGruder on February 8th, 2025.

Funeral service will be held at 12 PM Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at Total Faith Missionary Church Of God.

Viewing will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Friday the 14th, at the mortuary.

Mr. Robert Lewis McGruder was born in Luthersville, Georgia on August 29, 1956 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie H. McGruder (Louvater Godfrey McGruder). Robert departed this life on February 8, 2025 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory McGruder.

Robert graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville, Georgia in 1975 He was a retired Over the Road Truck Driver, enjoying retirement life.

He is survived by his two daughters; LaSonya McGruder and Tawanna Rosser, three grandchildren; Khadijaha Burks, ChriSondra Carson, and Devin Rosser (Capri), nine great grandchildren, five brothers; Willie (JoAnn) McGruder, James McGruder, Harvey (Carrie) McGruder, Larry (Linda) McGruder, and Allen McGruder, five sisters; Dorothy Hill, Kathy McGruder, Willie Mae Sherman, Onice McGruder, and Joyce McGruder-Cameron, a host of nieces and nephews, companion; Eloise McGruder, and a special friend; Annie McGruder.
