Sylvester Whitehead departed this life Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Warm Springs Nursing Home, Warm Springs, Georgia after a brief illness.

The son of Morgan and Jannie Whitehead, he was born April 20, 1941 in Harris County (Shiloh, GA).

He was a joyful and happy person who loved life, people and music. He'll be missed by many.

His memory will be forever cherished by three brothers, Orvincson (Mildred) Whitehead of Shiloh, GA, Lester (Shirley) Whitehead and Ira (Charlie Mae) Whitehead of Talbot, GA; one sister, Maryeese Gay of Talbotton, GA; nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral service was held Friday, October 19, 2018 11:00 a.m. at Andrew Nixon Memorial Chapel at KK Sewell Funeral Home
