Terome Lemar Mims was born on January 10, 1965 to Emma Jean Hill in Coweta County. There were three important men in Terome's life, his father, the late Mr. John Godfrey, Joe B. Mims, and Roger L. Hill. He departed this life for a new beginning on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Sacred Journey Hospice in Newnan, GA.

He was a graduate of the Class of 1983 at Newnan High School. While in High School, he was a member of the wrestling team. At a young age he joined Dent Chapel A.M.E. Church. Lemar was employed with United Forest Products Industries (UFP) in Union City, GA.

In his younger years, he enjoyed reading and working with his hands. Lemar, the handy man, could fix almost anything. He learned his carpentry skills from his uncle Jake Bolton. Lemar never met a stranger and was a kind and generous man. He was known for loving his family; especially his nieces and nephews, his friends, and everyone around him. He enjoyed life and he lived it to the fullest until his health failed.

He was preceded in death by John W. Godfrey, Joe B. Mims, and Roger L. Hill; one sister- Joyce A. Godfrey, two brothers- Stephan G. Hill and Antoine L. Hill.

Lemar leaves to cherish his memory; his loving mother, Emma Jean Hill, Stepmother-Bessie Godfrey, God mother-Mary Geter, three loving children; Mr. Roderick Roberts (Tomeka), Gretisha Cochran (Marsha), and Justin Mims; Seven grandchildren; A'Kerrah, Brittney, Raven, Jordan, Zevulon, Tranezz, and A'Milliyon; Eight loving siblings; Alan B.
