Obituary

Mother Vera Lee Willis Copeland was born in Talbotton, Georgia to the late Sam and Lizzie Walton Willis on May 8, 1921. She received her basic education in Georgia. She was employed at Cagle's Inc. for many years. She join Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She served in the Lord's house with gladness. Member of the usher's Board Ministry, Treasurer, Mother's Board Ministry, Received awards for her faithful service and commitment to the ministries. She loved the Lord, the pastor and her church family. Thank you SHILOH for your gifts to our mom, love shown and time shared in so many beautiful ways.

Our mom is called thru Grace and is healed by Grace. We are all transitioning for something. Transitioning is uncomfortable and it can cause separation, Birth or Death. When a baby is born, separated from mother's body and death is separation from one's body to be present with the Lord and to be born again. O' Lord, how excellent is thy name.

At an early age she moved to Columbus, Ga. Later travel to Shiloh, Ga. to be with her sister and it was in Shiloh she meet and was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Rufus Copeland, Sr. on May 20, 1946. To this union seven children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Copeland, Sr. and two daughters, Judy C. Ward and Clara Copeland. Preceded Siblings are three brothers and three sisters. She leaves to cherish the memories of youth & now: two brothers; Sam Willis of Phoenix City, Alabama and Clifford (Pamela) Willis of Fairburn, Ga, one sister; Violet Dunn of College Park, Ga.

Mother Vera leaves to cherish her legacy; Five Children: Mary Copeland, Shiloh, Ga., Alvin (Mary) Copeland, Nathaniel Copeland, Rufus Copeland, Jr. all of Atlanta, Ga., Patricia (Tyrone) Pearson, Rex, Ga. and God's Angel Child: Dante' Ward, Riverdale, Ga., Mother Vera was cherished by her grandchildren; Cassandra (Andrew - deceased), Barry (Megan), Pamela, Felita, Eldridge (Treon), Chantal and Adelric Copeland. 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Selected and loved grand-daughter; Tamica (Gerald) Walker. Treasure sister-n-law, Exie Copeland and Brother-n-law, Marshall Copeland. Host of Nieces, Nephews and many loving friends.

God's Grace & Favor: As mom health changed, she travel to Atlanta, Georgia on August 3, 2013 and resided at Jonesboro Nursing & Rehab Center in Jonesboro, Georgia. At Jonesboro Center, she was loved and received excellent care during her residency. She received her Healing, Deliverance and Peace Everlasting on July 15, 2015.
