Mr. Warner Parks, Sr., son of the late Ector and Annie Bell (Murray) Parks was born March 28, 1935. He departed his life on June 16, 2016.

He joined Arbor Chapel AME Church at an early age. He held the office of Steward, Trustee and was member of the Building Committee. He remained a faithful member until his health began to decline.

He was united into holy matrimony to Juanita Lakes on March 17, 1957, in which six children were born. One daughter and five sons.

He retired from Joe Summer Roofing Company in Atlanta, GA after thirty-five years of service. During his retirement he worked as a Landscaper for Dr. Gaston in Greenville, Georgia. He was a member of the Male Chorus and the Black Men United (BMU) Club.

Warner was preceded in death by son Robert L. Parks, two sisters, Jennie Birts, and Annie Kate Gates, three brothers; Andrew Parks, Ector Parks, Jr. and Jack Amos Parks.

He leaves to cherish his memory, eight children, three daughters, Gwendolyn Parks, Alma Dudley, and Daisy Bussey; all of Greenville, GA; five sons, Warner Parks, Jr., West Point, GA; Bobby Parks, Freddie Parks, Larry (Renea) Parks; all of Greenville, GA and Curtis (Jackie) Bussey (LaGrange, GA). He raised four grandchildren as his own, Lavar Parks (Cleveland, OH), Christopher Parks (Havelock, NC), Derenzie Parks (Greenville, GA) and Talecia Parks (Peachtree City, GA); one brother, Leoner (Annie Ruth) Parks, Jonesboro, GA; four sisters, Mae Bell Blue, Jerlene Parks, Ellen Mason, all of Decatur, GA, and Elizabeth Parks, Jonesboro, GA; one brother-in-law, Jessie Harris, Dalton, GA; four sisters-in-law, Anne Parks, Las Vegas, NV, Ruby Parks, Atlanta, GA; Christine Matthews, Dalton, GA, and Bernice McClendon, Cromwell, CT, eighteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren; a host of special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
