With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of William Lee Prather, on November 28th, 2024.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 2 PM at Sewell Mortuary Chapel.

The viewing will be at the mortuary from 5 to 7 PM on December 6, 2024.

William Lee Prather was born September 18 1945 in Meriwether county Georgia to late Julus Favors Favors and Cora Bell Prather Patrick. He attended School in Meriwether county Public School System. He loved hunting and fishing. He dedicated many years as a lumber Jack. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was well loved by many.

William joins his mother Cora Bell Prather Patrick, his father Julus Favors, son Javuris Gates, and ten siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memories to 6 kids William (Vicki) Prather, Khawanda Gates, Shyvonnia Gates, Tiffany Prather, Nakeisha Alexander, and Javaruis Prather two sisters Annie Louis (Roosevelt) Hall and Annette Favors. He has 20 grandchildren's 6 great grands, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was loved by many. He also had a special friend Evonne Gates and a special fishing buddy Bobby Prather.
