William Reeves was born on June 28, 1940 in Meriwether County to the late John and Lucile Reeves. Two sisters proceeded him in death Catherine Johnson and Bessie Davenport, three brothers John, Isaiah, and Albert Reeves. He departed his life on Saturday, February 25, 2017. He attended school in Meriwether County. He came to Christ at an early age. He worked for Dobbs Logging Company for twenty-five years as a loyal, dedicated, and dependable employee. He loved to play cards, being around his family and helping others whenever and however he could. He also loved to go fishing. Jonathan Favors, Torie Reeves and Dontavis Towns were his fishing partners.

William was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He leaves to cherish memories to his loving wife of 55 years Mrs. Rosa Mae Reeves and his seven kids Mrs Jennifer (Larry) Mitchell, Mrs Linda (James) Towns, Mrs Tammy (Donald) Towns, Mr. William Reeves Jr., Mr. Jimmy Reeves, Mrs. Lorrie (Danny)Revell; all of Greenville, Ga and Ms. Vickie Ford of Manchester, Ga., thirty grandkids and fifty five great grandkids; Fours sisters Mrs. Louise (John) Brown, Mrs. Mary (James) Bray, Ms. Josephine Tenny and Mrs Rebecca (Gene) Cameron of Greenville, Ga.; four brothers Mr. & Mrs Joe (Shirley) Reeves, Mr. & Mrs Robert (Brenda) Reeves, Mr. Tom Reeves of Greenville, Ga., Mr. Charles (Gail) Reeves of Grantville, Ga.; three sister-in-laws, Sarah and Christine Reeves of Greenville, Ga., Alma Jean Lee of Newnan, Ga., two brother-in-laws John Lee Kidd of Greenville, Ga and Benny James Kidd of College Park, Ga., a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and two special friends Fabion (Rooster) McGill and Harvey McCleneon
