Funeral Service is March 15th, 1:00 PM at Sewell Mortuary Chapel

Visitation is on the 14th, from 3 to 6 PM at Sewell Mortuary.

Mr. Willie "Billy" Edward Hill was born in Luthersville, Georgia on May 14, 1946 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie C. Hill (Lucretia Reeves Hill). Willie departed this life on March 10, 2020 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, GA. He was preceded in death by his grandson Devin Abercrombie, sister Anita Faye Hill-Byrd, father- and mother-inlaw Mr. and Mrs. Willie Horace McGruder, and brothers-in-law Louis Freeman and Rick McCrae.

Willie graduated Central High School in Newnan, GA in 1965. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1966 served and fought proudly for his country in the Vietnam War. He graduated from West Georgia Technical College and Griffin Technical College. He was employed with Nestle Purina for 36 years as a Maintenance Technician and retired in 2009.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Dorothy "Dot;" five children Anthony (Stacia) Hill, Denise (Darren) Abercrombie, Tracy (Andre) Malcolm, Kimberley (Eric) Arnold, and Monica (Derrick) Jenkins; ten grandchildren Jessica (Rey) Diaz, Joshua (Michele) Hill, Donavin Abercrombie, Darius Abercrombie, Dylan Abercrombie, Malik (Maddie) Malcolm, Bryan Malcolm, Kendall Malcolm, Jacob Malcolm, Eric J. Arnold, and Erykah Arnold; three great grandchildren Jace Arnold, Aria Malcolm, and baby Harper Hill; four sisters Irma Freeman, Ellen McCrae, Hazel (Sonny) Jackson, and Linda Hill; two brothers Bruce Hill and Avery (Gwen) Hill; aunt Josie Mae Hill; five brothers-in-law Willie (Joann) McGruder, David (Gloria) McGruder, Peter (Susie) McGruder, Louis (Ella) McGruder, Larry (Linda) McGruder, and Allen (Connie) McGruder; five sisters-in-law Kathy McGruder, Onice McGruder, Willie Mae McGruder, and Joyce McGruder-Cameron; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Brooks, Annie McGruder, Melissa Williams, Henry Roberts, Howard Cook, The Malcolm Family, The Hill Family, The McGruder Family, and The Godfrey Family.
