Willie Edd McAfee (Peter) was born in Talbot County on November 8, 1951 and departed his life on April 8, 2015 at Columbus Georgia Hospice Center.
Willie was the 4th of 5 children, the son of the late Albert and Mollie Bell McAfee. Willie was raised in a spiritually nurturing family, instilling in him the Love of God, and strong virtues that define his soul.
One sister preceded him in death, Geraldine McAfee.
Willie began his education in Talbot County School System. He graduated and joined the U. S. Army in 1971 and served in Vietnam war.
Willie accepted Christ as his Savior at Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Willie leave to cherish, his loving wife Grace Mae McAfee of Manchester, GA; two daughters, Lashun Melson of Atlanta, GA, Omekia Mitchell (Randy) of Manchester, GA; two sons, Deriekican Bridges (Shametrick) of Thomaston, GA, Antonio Bridges of Warm Springs, GA; three devoted sisers, Mable Danner (William) of Reading, PA, Barbara McCoy of Manchester, GA, Mary Ann Searcy (Michael) of Manchester, GA; one brother, Perry McAfee (Betty Ann) of Shiloh, GA; twelve grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; two great nieces; one great great niece; two aunts, Jewel Leonard of Woodland, GA, Doris Copeland of Manchester, GA; one devoted friend, Larry Walton; a special niece, Tonia McCoy
