Willie Frank Parks, affectionately known by most as Frank, was born August 20, 1954 to the late Mr. David Parks, Jr. and Annie Josie Parks (Godfrey) of Luthersville, GA. He received his formal education in the Meriwether County School System.
In 1973, he married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Ann Mitchell and they were blessed with three children, Tonya, Felicia and Quinton (Nard). Although their marriage mutually dissolved after 14 years, the two continued to remain close friends and worked together in ensuring their children received an abundance of love and support.
Frank joined Sunny Side Baptist Church at an early age and received Jesus Christ into his heart. The light of Christ shown through him by his ability to help others without boasting, being a listening ear, and humbly giving sound advice when needed. His deep voice, which was often compared to Barry White, and outgoing personality instantly drew people to him. Frank never met a stranger that didn't leave without a smile on their face after sharing a conversation.
He was employed with William L. Bonnell Aluminum for over 40 years advancing in his profession until he became a supervisor. Upon retiring, Frank enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, telling jokes, moderating the Atlanta Braves games, taking short vacations, watching his favorite television shows (especially Beverly Hillbillies, Swamp People, Gunsmoke, Rifleman and The Temptations), and attempting to sing all of Troy Ramsey and Willie Banks gospel songs while being offkey. He served his community by initiating and completing various outreaches with fellow members of the Zion Hill Masonic Lodge #26 for over 50 years.
On October 15, 2025, he passed away peacefully at Brightmoor Hospice Inpatient Facility surrounded by family. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Ellis Parks.
He leaves to cherish with memories his three children, Tonya Parks, Newnan, GA, Felicia (Osaze) Okunbor, Hampton, GA, and Quinton (Vanessa) Parks, Riverdale, GA; two amazing grandsons who faithfully assisted with his care, Tyvon Sands and Da'sean Sands; ex-wife, Patricia Parks; his brothers, James Parks (Florine), Bennie Parks, Sammy Parks, and Larry Parks; his sisters, Mary Jean and Linda Ann (Johnny Dean); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends
The family is being served by Sewell Mortuary.
